The invention relates to a system for stopping parts driven by a hose by means of pressurised air, of the type used in automatic machining or riveting devices for automatically supplying parts having a circular cross-section at the widest part thereof. The system is characterised in that, for the purpose of deceleration and braking, it uses a longitudinally grooved clamp having a conical exterior and a cylindrical interior, which is disposed between the end of the hose and the receiver and which is actuated, in order to be opened and closed, by a cylinder that is machined internally in the form of a cone. The main advantage of the invention is that it achieves optimum deceleration and braking of the part having a circular cross-section, allowing same to be positioned gently in the receiver and preventing damage to, and deformation of the useful portion of the part and the receiver.
