<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance production efficiency while reducing loss of components by discriminating the difference in the type of components before starting substrate production operation. <P>SOLUTION: In a state where power is turned on, the type data indicating what type of chip component is used is stored in a storage device 26 for every selected substrate P. A controller 25 determines constantly whether or not the type data stored in the storage device 26 matches the type data detected by a photoelectric sensor 21 by irradiating a reflection seal 20 attached to a magazine 13 set on a mounting plate 14 with light.
