<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail end crop detection device capable of properly detecting a tail end crop in a configuration suitable with respect to cost and maintenance and to provide hot rolling equipment including the same. <P>SOLUTION: A camera 11 which continuously images a rolled material 7 passing between finish rolling stands (F3 and F4) of a hot rolling line is installed on the outside of the hot rolling line. A tail end image of the rolled material 7 is detected from continuous images of the rolled material 7 which are imaged by the camera 11, and an edge of a tail end of the rolled material 7 is extracted from the tail end image. Furthermore, the edge image is subjected to field angle adjustment processing to convert the edge image viewed at an angle to a rolling direction to an image viewed in a direction orthogonal to the rolling direction, and a trail end crop shape of the rolled material 7 is recognized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
