摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an undulator which can significantly change the wavelength of radiation light to be generated. <P>SOLUTION: Two undulator magnet arrays facing each other have variable relative positions in the arrangement direction of magnets. Magnetic fields of one half magnetization period are formed, respectively, by the first half and second half of the magnetization period. Magnetization is carried over the entire magnetization period so as to form a magnetic field having a period identical to the magnetization period, thus forming a synthetic magnetic field. The ratio of magnetic field synthesis is adjusted by the amount of displacement of relative position of two undulator magnet arrays in the arrangement direction of magnets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
