The present invention relates to a method for virtual golf simulation using a mobile terminal, to a method for implementing a virtual golf simulation using an application therefor, and to a mobile terminal providing same, in which a virtual golf simulation is provided to enable a user to practice a golf swing with no restrictions in terms of time and place by swinging a mobile terminal such as a smartphone. To this end, a method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps: extracting the result of sensing an operation of the mobile terminal moved with a swinging action by a user; acquiring data on the swing characteristics of the mobile terminal based on the result of sensing the operation; calculating a motion trajectory of a golf ball based on the acquired swing characteristics; and outputting a virtual golf course on the screen of the mobile terminal and implementing a golf simulation image on the virtual golf course based on the calculated motion trajectory of the golf ball.
