Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a method and apparatus for data transmission; the method comprises: when two types of data are transmitting through an interface, determining the two types of data, defining the data transmitting at a relatively higher frequency and with bit error tolerance as a primary data, and defining the data transmitting at a lower frequency as a secondary data; placing the secondary data at the location of bit error tolerance of the primary data and transmit with the primary data. Through the above transmission mode, hybrid transmission of data can be achieved after the primary and secondary data satisfy corresponding conditions, thus reducing interface traffic bandwidth usage.
