A connector uses an insulating housing to holding a plurality of contacts in a desired configuration. The connector has a first connection side for connecting with a connection partner and a second connection side for connection to a board. The contacts are divided into a plurality of first contacts arranged with spaces therebetween in a central or first row on the second connection side. A plurality of second contacts are grouped as contact pairs and form a single contact row. This arrangement simplifies and improves connection.
