<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil applicable to a writing utensil which enables a user to perform writing while firmly holding a grip 2 without allowing fingers to move forward or backward when performing writing while holding the grip by fingers, and also, prevents formation of blisters or prevents a user from feeling pain in the interdigital area between the thumb and the index finger even after performing writing for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The grip 2 is provided at a gripping part 3A of a body 3 constituting a barrel. An interdigital area receiving member 6 is provided in a sheath 4 located at the rear of the gripping part 3A of the body 3.
