<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail breakage detection device capable of detecting a rail breakage without a track circuit regardless of a location thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A rail breakage detection device comprises: vibration sensors 3a and 3b to measure vibration in a rail; a frequency analysis section 4 to calculate a peak frequency indicating peak vibration intensity of the vibration in the rail; and a determination section 5 to determine that the rail has a breakage when the peak frequency calculated by the frequency analysis section 4 is beyond a prescribed allowable range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
