<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device for assistant driver seat, which can increase the rigidity of a glove door when the front collision. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant protection device 10 for assistant driver seat includes the knee air bag unit 20 which has the knee air bag 21, an inflater 23 and the air bag door 22 and the glove box 30 which has the glove door 31. The sheet-like member 50, which has the dilatant characteristic, is stuck on the glove door 31. The sheet-like member 50 of dilatant characteristic is stuck on the opposite surface, which is counter face of a vehicle room of the glove door 31. The air bag door 31 has a door tear part 24 having the first part 24a which extends horizontally and the second part which extends in the perpendicular direction to cross to the horizontal direction from both ends of the first part. The first part 24a is set to the up-and-down and intermediate part of the air bag door or the lower part of the air bag door.
