The wheel drive has a pedal bearing shaft (21) mounted in a bottom bracket (20), and cranks fastened with the pedal bearing shaft. The pedal bearing shaft and a drive hub (30) are separately supported from each other. Force is transferred for forward movement of the drive hub by the cranks through traction mechanisms, chains and toothed belts. A gear (60) or a toothed belt pulley is arranged at the drive hub. A front wheel (110) is rotatably mounted on a retainer and reversibly attached to a frame of a back element of a sun wheel.
