The apparatus has a storage tube (2) through which a liquid flows, and at least two electrodes connected to an electrode current source which generates switchable electrical stimulation. The electrodes are attached to part of the human or animal body around surgical site for reducing flux of liquid flowing through the storage tube, when the storage tube is fixed to the human or animal body. The electrodes are controlled using a control unit.
