摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling plant flower bud formation by performing red light or far red light irradiation for controlling plant flower bud formation with a minimum energy quantity. <P>SOLUTION: This method for controlling the plant flower bud formation includes, when controlling the flower bud formation of a short-day plant, radiating light which has an emission spectrum having a maximum emission peak in 600-690 nm wavelengths, a half value width of <200 nm, and a strength in 400-600 nm wavelengths of <10% of a strength in a maximum emission peak, to the short-day plant by an irradiation strength of 1-50 &mu;au/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>per cultivation area for 1-60 min in total, after 4-8 h pass after the time to radiate light for photosynthesis to the plant ends, in a short-day period when the time to radiate light becomes less than 11 h per day. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
