<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure fuel pump control device of an internal combustion engine, which can improve stability of the drive control of a high pressure fuel pump, by controlling the finish timing of a drive signal of the high pressure fuel pump, and by driving an actuator in a control effective range of the high pressure fuel pump. <P>SOLUTION: The high pressure fuel pump control device of the internal combustion engine comprises a fuel injection valve arranged at an air cylinder and the high pressure fuel pump which pressure-feeds fuel to the fuel injection valve. The high pressure fuel pump comprises a pressurizing chamber, a plunger which pressurizes the fuel in the pressurizing chamber, a fuel passage valve arranged in the pressurizing chamber and an actuator which operates the fuel passage valve. The control device has a means for calculating a drive signal of the actuator for making variable a discharge amount of the high pressure fuel pump, and the means for calculating the drive signal has a means for limiting the finish timing of the drive signal of the actuator to a prescribed phase, and/or a means for limiting the output timing of the drive signal of the actuator into a prescribed phase range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
