<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine translation device with which time needed to obtain translation results can be reduced and reliable translation results can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: Paraphrastic sentence generation means 81 generates one or multiple paraphrases of an input text sentence in the same language as the input text sentence. Machine translation means 82 translates the generated paraphrases into a target language. Translation reliability determination means 83 determines translation reliability that indicates the reliability of the translation of the paraphrases in the target language. Paraphrase identification means 84 selects candidate paraphrases from all the paraphrases generated by the paraphrastic sentence generation means 81 based on their translation reliability, and identifies a paraphrase from the candidates as a target paraphrase whose translation is to be provided as a translation result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
