<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly calculate a power of each incoming wave received in regard to multiple targets in an electronically scanning radar device which estimates an incoming direction of an electric wave by using a high breakdown function process. <P>SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle radar device utilizing an electronic scan which estimates the incoming direction of a reflection wave by using a predetermined angle estimation method, such a method is carried out that mode vectors MV1, MV2 for each angle calculated from reception signals of each antenna are obtained, and a vector of the reception signal RS is broken down to directions of the mode vectors MV1, MV2 and lengths of broken down vectors PV1, PV2 are defined as the reception power of the reflection wave income from each target. By this method, each power of the multiple incoming waves can be exactly calculated even though the multiple targets exist, and a pairing is exactly executed and a detection accuracy of the target is improved, thereby malfunction of the on-vehicle radar device utilizing the electronic scan is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
