<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change braking force of an emergency stop device in response to loading weight of a passenger cage. <P>SOLUTION: The emergency stop device of an elevator decelerates and stops the passenger cage when the passenger cage lifts at an abnormal speed. A floor part 23 of the passenger cage is mounted on a frame body so as to displace up and down via an elastic body 25. The emergency stop device has press bodies, a pair of wedge bodies 36, and a lift member 37. The press bodies are disposed opposing to each other as pinching a guide rail, and are urged to a direction of pinching the guide rail. The pair of wedge bodies 36 move upward, and are forced between the guide rail and the press bodies when the passenger cage lifts at an abnormal speed. A lift stopper 60a limits the movement of the pair of wedge bodies 36, and opens the limitation of the movement of the pair of wedge bodies 36 as carrying capacity in a cage room increases and the floor body 23 displaces downward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
