<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality in double-sided printing on performing double-sided printing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means for forming images on one or both sides of a recording medium by ejecting a developer on the basis of image data; a detecting means for detecting characteristics of the image data; a determination means for determining whether the image forming means forms the images on both sides of the recording medium; and a changing means configured to, when determined by the determination means that the image forming means forms the images on both sides of the recording medium, reduce the amount of the developer to be ejected from the image forming means in accordance with the characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
