<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrostatic slider with improved position correction function of a movable body. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrostatic slider (1) includes a fixed body (2) and a movable body (3). The movable body (3) is capable of relatively moving along the fixed body (2) via a fluid supplied to a gap (4) between the movable body (3) and the fixed body (2). One of the fixed body (2) and the movable body (3) has a through-hole (5) where the fluid supplied to the gap (4) passes.
