The holder (10) has a measuring hub (11) e.g. adapter, provided with a cylindrical main body (12) and a measuring device (13). A tool-side feed retainer (14) and a machine-spindle-side retainer (15) are fixed at opposite end faces of the measuring hub. Holding elements (18, 19) e.g. end plates (20, 21), are detachably secured at opposite end faces (16, 17) of the main body. Threaded bores (22, 23), screws (24, 25) and holes (26, 27), enable releasable attachment of the tool-side feed retainer and the machine-spindle-side retainer. The plates extend radially over the main body.
