The device (15) has two spring sections (26) integrally formed with two clamping edges (16) and arranged between the clamping edges, where the device is made of plastic. An endless transport belt is deflected around the clamping edges. The spring sections are symmetrically distributed in a direction parallel to the clamping edges and formed in omega-shape, double s-shape or z-shape. Two over-stretching stoppers (28) are provided between the clamping edges and in contact with each other. The stoppers are arranged at a distance of 4-8 mm from each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a clamping device for an endless transport belt.
