The PIR motion detector has an adjustable detection range under the action of actuating element mounted inside detection housing (1). A PIR sensor (3) is arranged linearly on a vertical plane and displaceable in longitudinal direction, in response to an operation of a predetermined change in location of sensor relative to detector housing.
