<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture needle with the edge of a recess on the outer surface of a bending part set as a projecting small blade. <P>SOLUTION: The suture needle has the bending part at the distal end of a needle body 1, and has the recess 3 on the outer surface of the bending part. The edge of the recess 3 is set as the projecting small blade 2. A plurality of recesses 3 may be arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the needle body 1. When the suture needle is inserted into the body tissue, the resistance against the puncture into the body tissue can be reduced as much as possible because the contact area with the body tissue is reduced with the presence of the recess 3 on the outer surface of the bending part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
