PURPOSE: A method for improvement of position determination accuracy of a mobile communications terminal is provided to offer accurate position information in the movement of a terminal user without a separate device for transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives a GPS signal(S100). The terminal obtains position data by using the GPS signal(S101). The terminal transmits the position data of the terminal to a server with a NMEA format(S102). The server selects a virtual reference point getting near to the position of the terminal through the position data and selects a regular observation post outside the virtual reference point(S103). The server obtains position data of the virtual reference point(S104). The server transmits the position data of the virtual reference point to the terminal(S105). The position of the terminal is determined by using the position data of the terminal and the position data of the virtual reference point(S106).
