With the aim of utilizing the existing potential of a geometry optimization, in particular of modifying the contact surfaces of the bolts of the bolt locking mechanism to the breech or the breech head, a breech system for a weapon, in particular a barreled weapon in the medium-caliber range, is proposed, which has at least two bolts (2) for a breech or breech head (1) that are arranged on opposing sides. The breech head (1) in turn can accommodate a striking pin, wherein the bolts (2) are mounted in a safety mechanism housing (3), and in the safety position the breech head (1) is supported on said bolts (2). At the front contact surface (8), each of the bolts (2) has a gap, and at the rear contact surface (7), each bolt is rounded off or partially rounded about the vertical axis. The bolt (2) is also rounded off about the horizontal axis both on the front face (10) and the back face (11). For the geometry optimization of the breech head (1), said head comprises at least one contact surface (5) that is rounded off about vertical axis, such that in the interaction of both geometries, which is to say the geometry of the bolt (2) and that of the breech head (1), the maximum contact pressure occurs in the surface center (13) on the breech head (1). |
