Disclosed is a connector bridge (1) for an appliance connector, composed of a dimensionally stable insulating body (2) for accommodating and fixing a phase conductor pin (3b), a neutral conductor pin (3c), and a ground conductor pin (3a). The phase, neutral, and ground conductor pins are molded onto or into the insulating body in through-holes of the insulating body that correspond to the cross-section of the conductor pins in one and the same operation as the injection molding process of the insulating body. The phase, neutral, and ground conductor pins protrude so as to be inserted into the socket, are connected to the corresponding line terminals of the connection cable, and have a rectangular cross-section according to standard BS 1363. The connector bridge (1) is characterized in that the phase, neutral, and ground conductor pins are designed as folding pins which are unfolded from an initially flat punched sheet metal piece to obtain their final three-dimensional shape, and the hollow spaces and interstices of which are filled with plastic during the injection molding process of the insulating body in such a way that the phase, neutral, and ground conductor pins have their final contour following the injection molding process. It is thus possible to significantly reduce the amount of material used for producing the connector bridge while maintaining the quality and safety of the connector bridge. |
