Provided is a method for manufacturing a resin-coated metal sheet having excellent film working adhesiveness even at the time of rigorous forming working. The method for manufacturing a resin-coated metal sheet includes the steps of: forming a tin-plating layer on at least one surface of a metal sheet; applying a silane coupling agent to the tin-plating layer by coating; forming a resin layer on the silane coupling agent coating layer; and melting a resin surface of the resin layer on a side where the resin surface is in contact with the silane coupling agent by heating the metal sheet. The method also includes a step of heating at least an interface region between the tin-plating layer and the silane coupling agent coating layer, the silane coupling agent coating layer, and an interface region between the silane coupling agent coating layer and the resin layer at a temperature which falls within a range from a temperature 10°C below a melting point of a resin to a temperature 100°C above the melting point of the resin.
