<p>The method involves winding or rolling a metallic plate or sheet-like base body to a pipe (2) forming a pre-product. The opposite end areas (3,4) or sections or the entire contact surface of the pipe are brought in an operative connection with each other by material-, force- or form-fit connection techniques or combinations.
