A top plate alignment template device 10 for subterranean drilling or boring including a frame 12 receivable on a ground site and a plurality of tubular guide bores 14. The bores are provided on the frame, with each of the guide bores arranged at an angle extending downwardly and outwardly from the frame. In the first invention, each of the guide bores has an axis so that the axes (19, figure 2a) of the guide bores extend from a common center point above the frame. The device may form a receptacle for concrete (18, figure 2b) which is poured into the frame and hardened in place. The second invention is characterized by a template device where the guide bores are arranged at an angle between ten and eighty degrees downwardly and outwardly of the frame. |
