PURPOSE: A portable terminal and hold release method thereof are provided to release the hold state of a portable terminal by setting input conditions of additional motion signals. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(160) stores a user motion signal input method set by a user and secret codes. First input units(120,140) receive user motion signals. A second input unit(130) receives the secret codes. When the stored user motion signal corresponds to the inputted user motion signal, a control unit(180) releases hold states. When the stored secret codes correspond to the inputted secret codes, the control unit releases the hold states. |
