PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Pharbitidis semen extract is provided to prevent and treat brain cancer including primary brain tumors or metastatic brain tumors. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating brain cancer contains Pharbitidis semen extract as an active ingredient. The extract is ethanol extract prepared by extracting with 95% ethanol, drying, and concentrating at 45 Deg. C. The composition further contains pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The brain cancer includes primary brain tumors or metastatic brain tumors. The daily dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 0.001-100 mg/kg(body weight).
