PURPOSE: A millimeter wave seeker for controlling gimbal operation is provided to stabilize visibility by separating the movement of an antenna from the movement of a platform. CONSTITUTION: A millimeter wave seeker for controlling gimbal operation comprises an antenna(10), an antenna structure(20), first and second resolvers(30,31), a gyroscope(40), a servo controller(50), and first and second motors(60,61). The antenna structure comprises a gimbal(21). The first resolver senses the rotation angle of a yaw axis corresponding to one drive shaft of the antenna. The second resolver senses the rotation angle of a pitch axis corresponding the other one drive shaft of the antenna. The gyroscope measures the rotation quantity of the antenna. The servo controller controls the operation of the gimbal using the values sensed from the resolvers and the value measured from the gyroscope. The first motor rotates the yaw axis. The second motor rotates the pitch axis.
