A diaphragm comprising a relatively rigid central disk made of a first material characterized by a relatively high stiffness; a peripheral attachment ring disposed about a peripheral portion of the disk; and an annular flexure made of a second material characterized by a relatively low stiffness, and extending between the peripheral portion of the disk and the attachment ring. Where the annular flexure is bonded to the disk, and the disk, the annular flexure and the peripheral ring form a contiguous assembly. |
