PURPOSE: An optics filter for a display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve a light and shade ratio and front side light transmission in bright room conditions. CONSTITUTION: A background(110) is formed into first light transmission material. An embossed pattern layer is formed at one surface of the background. The embossed pattern layer has an embossed pattern. An external light blocking pattern is formed on the sidewall of the embossed pattern. The external light blocking pattern is comprised of material absorbing light. The external light blocking pattern is coated along a depth direction cross section of the background.
