PURPOSE: A system and a method for reducing wrong sorting and re-sorting of postal matters are provided to improve efficiency and reduce work load in automatic sorting of postal matters. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing wrong sorting and re-sorting of postal matters is as follows. A postal matter sorting device sorts postal matters based on postal matter acceptance information(150). An information processing device calculates an input error rate and/or a barcode printing failure rate based on the sorted postal matters(160). The information processing device creates statistics of the calculated input error rate and/or barcode printing failure rate(170).
