PURPOSE: An electronic device and a method of providing an interface for scanning a channel are provided to enable a user to easily set an application channel and a human channel by a scan result. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays a plurality menu items for selecting service types(S2500). The control unit detects one of the displayed menu items(S2530). The control unit scans information for configuring a channel of a service type that the selected menu item indicates(S2540). The control unit displays the scan result(S2550). One of service types is a human channel.
