Compositions comprising an 80-100 per cent hydrolysed interpolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester of an organic carboxylic acid, e.g. vinyl acetate, the molar ratio of ethylene to vinyl acetate being 1.5 to 1 to 5 to 1, and 20 to 40 per cent of the total composition of a compound selected from alkyl acid orthophosphates, alkyl acid orthophosphites and benzene phosphinic acid wherein the alkyl radicals contain 3 to 12 carbon atoms, are used as interlayers in laminated safety glass. Compositions containing dioctyl phosphite, mixed mono- and di-isoamyl acid phosphates, mono- and di-butyl, octyl, and iso-amyl phosphates and benzene phosphinic acid are formed at 100-140 DEG C interposed in sheet form between glass sheet and cross-linked by further heating at 160 DEG to 190 DEG C. |
