PURPOSE: A cam based integrated safety joint unit having torque sensing and decelerating functions is provided to maintain rigidity against torque less than a predetermined level and absorb torque greater than the predetermined level, thereby securing stability when colliding with an external object. CONSTITUTION: A cam based integrated safety joint unit(10) having torque sensing and decelerating functions comprises a deceleration unit(100), a manual safety device unit(200), and a torque sensor unit(300). The deceleration unit comprises a hollow shaft(140) which is connected to an input unit(1) and delivers input torque. The manual safety device unit comprises a base plate(220) which is connected to the deceleration unit and receives decelerated torque and has nonlinear rigidity for delivering a force less than a predetermined level input through the base plate and blocking the delivery of a force greater than the predetermined level. The torque sensor unit detects the torque delivered from the manual safety device unit and is connected to an output unit(2) to deliver output torque.
