PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to increase stability in high temperatures without influencing battery performance by using lithium manganese oxide as a positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises a negative electrode, a positive electrode comprising lithium manganese oxide in chemical formula 1a: Li_aMnL_bO_2 or chemical formula 1b: Li_aMn_2L_bO_4, and electrolyte comprising trialkylsilyl phosphate in chemical formula 2, which is impregnating the negative electrode and the positive electrode. In chemical formula 1a and 1b, L is selected from a group consisting of Al, Cr, Fe, Mg, La, Ce, Sr, V and combinations thereof, and 0.90 <= a <= 1.8, 0 <= b <= 0.1. In chemical formula 2, R^1-R^9 is respectively hydrogen or a C1-10 alkyl group, and at least one of R^1-R^9 is a C1-10 alkyl group. |
