FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: high-pressure sodium lamp is connected into a DC circuit with subsequent alternate variation of polarity of supply voltage, besides, supply voltage polarity variation is carried out after reduction of a light flux from the high-pressure sodium lamp by at least 50% of the rated value, at the same time the method realised with a device supplying to high-pressure sodium lamps and comprising a rectifying supply unit with a dropping volt-ampere characteristics connected into a circuit with its outputs to the power inputs of a polarity variation switch, which with its power outputs is connected to electrodes of a high-pressure sodium lamp, besides, the device is additionally equipped with a photoswitch with a photo detector and a light guide. With the input end the light guide is rested against a side surface of a flask of the high-pressure sodium lamp, and with the output end it is directed to a light sensitive element of a photo detector, at the same time the photo detector is connected to photoswitch inputs, and the photoswitch output is connected to a control input of the polarity variation switch. In a device to supply to high-pressure sodium lamps the rectifying supply unit is additionally equipped with a shaper of igniting pulses. ^ EFFECT: reduced time of operation of a high-pressure sodium lamp in a mode of plasma separation. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
