FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for producing regular microrelief made up of lubing pockets on part surface. Workpiece is pre-machined to provide for macrorelief of its surface. Oil-retentive regular microrelief is applied on workpiece surface. Said application is performed by workpiece surface burnishing at the rate of 120 m/min that allows burnishing tool self-oscillation at frequency of 1000 s-1 with striking the workpiece surface. ^ EFFECT: simplified process, higher efficiency. ^ 1 dwg
