FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: display device (1), having a curved display surface (2), holds a display panel (5) through a pair of curved covers (10, 11). The display device (1) has a plurality of locking sections (12) which are formed on each of the two lateral surfaces, arranged such that they face each other with the display panel (5) in between, and hold the pair of covers (10, 11) such that the covers do not fall apart. The intermediate position (C1) in the direction of curvature of covers (10, 11) and the intermediate position (C2) in the direction of curvature of the display surface (2) are displaced from each other. The locking sections (12) on each of the two lateral surfaces are essentially symmetrically assembled with the display panel (5) in between, and positions where the locking sections (12) are located include at least both end sections (E1, E2) in the direction of curvature, and the intermediate section (CB) of the display surface, which includes the intermediate position (C2) of the display surface (2) in the direction of curvature. ^ EFFECT: providing a device which has a curved display surface, which is less likely to suffer from non-uniform display on the display panel and from displacement of the display panel. ^ 7 cl, 13 dwg |
