The invention relates to an ultrasound measurement system and to a method for carrying out ultrasound measurements, with a data acquisition unit (20) and a transducer (12) for coupling an ultrasound pulse into a connecting element (10) and for extracting an ultrasound pulse echo from the connecting element (10). The ultrasound measurement system proposed according to the invention comprises the data acquisition unit (20) which consists of a combination of analog and digital electronics for excitation and driving of the transducer (12). This is separated from a data processing unit (24) and is in contact therewith via a wired or wireless connection (22). |
