<p>PURPOSE: A sewage and wastewater treating apparatus is provided to improve the durability of the apparatus and to improve the efficiency of purification by increasing the contact rate of microorganisms and air in media. CONSTITUTION: A sewage and wastewater treating apparatus includes a sewage and wastewater treating bath(10), an aerating bath(20), media(30), a media damper(40), an air diffuser(50), a settling bath(60), an anoxic bath(60a), and a natural purifying bath. The air diffuser is installed at the lower side of the media. The natural purifying bath includes a perforated supporting board, a plurality of filtering medium layers, an air washing pipe, and an aerator. The filtering medium layers are stacked on the upper side of the perforated supporting board. The air washing pipe penetrates the center of the filtering medium layers. A plurality of washing nozzle holes is formed at the outer circumference of the air washing pipe. The aerator is installed at the lower side of the air washing pipe and supplies air of high pressures to the air washing pipe in order to eliminate and wash foreign materials from the filtering medium layers.</p> |
