PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYESTER-IMPREGNATED BASE MATERIAL

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of liquid polyester-impregnated base material is provided to manufacture a liquid crystal polyester-impregnated base material with excellent ignition retardance without using a brominated resin and a brome-containing flame retardant. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of liquid polyester-impregnated base material comprises: a step of impregnating a liquid composition containing liquid crystal polyester, and organic solvent dissolving the liquid crystal polyester into a fiber sheet; a step of forming intermediate by removing organic solvent from the impregnated liquid composition, and a step of heat-treating the intermediate at temperature of 270°C or higher, and lower than heat deflection temperature of the liquid crystal polyester. The fiber sheet is glass fiber fabric.
