PURPOSE: A keystone monitoring system and a tunnel construction method using the same are provided to improve a construction quality, and to provide the safety of a tunnel using geological information. CONSTITUTION: A tunnel construction method using a keystone monitoring system is as follows. Solid geological information is obtained by surveying the site where the tunnel is constructed(S11). Information on tunnel excavation is obtained using the solid geological information, and excavating the tunnel is started(S12). The key stone on an excavation side of the tunnel is detected(S13). The key stone is removed(S14). The excavation side is reinforced(S15). A keystone detection sensor for sensing the displacement of the keystone is installed(S16). The key stone is monitored by receiving sensing signals from the keystone detection sensor(S17).
