PURPOSE: A control device and a method thereof for a side door glass are provided to ventilate the air in a vehicle by lowering a rear side door glass while closing a tail gate. CONSTITUTION: A control device for a side door glass comprises a closing operation detector, a control unit, and a door glass actuator. The closing operation detector detects the starting of the closing of a tail gate(22) by detecting the position of a gas lifter by using a hole sensor and a magnetic sensor. The control unit controls the door glass actuator by receiving the detection signal from the closing operation detector. The door glass actuator lowers a door glass while the tail gate is closed. The door glass actuator ventilates the air in a vehicle.
