PURPOSE: A butterfly valve having a double opening and closing disk is provided to minimize the abrasion due to the contact between a disk seat part and a valve seat part and to improve durability by opening and closing a valve body with a rotation motion and a linear motion of the disk. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve comprises a valve body, a disk(20), an actuating rib(25), a hollow valve shaft member, an internal shaft(40), a valve shaft rotating device, and an internal shaft rotating device. The valve body has a fluid passage and comprises a valve seat part, downwardly inclined from the inside to the outside, in the inner circumference of the passage. The disk is installed inside the valve body to be linearly and rotatably moved. A disk seat part is formed in the outer circumference of the disk to open and close the passage of the valve body. The actuating rib is extended to the inner surface of the disk in parallel with a central axis of the disk. The valve shaft member rotates the disk while being rotated by external force. The inner shaft is installed in a hollow part(311) of the valve shaft member to be relatively rotated from the valve shaft member. The valve shaft rotating device is installed in the outside of the valve body to rotate the valve shaft member at arbitrary angles. The internal shaft rotating device reciprocatively rotates the inner shaft at a fixed angle.
