The method involves manual pre-positioning of a reinforced or flexible slide (1) on a frame (3). A sliding glass pane (4) is assembled in an opening i.e. side door (2). The slide is fitted on the frame by a direct interaction between the glass pane and the slide or by sliding the glass pane in the door. The glass pane is slid manually using a component e.g. handle, secured to the door or automatically by an electric motor, where the component is provided for actuating the glass pane in the door.
