PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling whether to supply location information in a broadband wireless access system are provided to prevent measurement data request of a location server due to time out generation of a request message of a base station. CONSTITUTION: A location server confirms a state of a terminal through an authenticator(205). The terminal receives a request about report of measurement data from the location server(207-211). In case the terminal is in a state of denying location information supply, the terminal transmits a report message including a denial code to the location server through a location controller(213-217).
